The leading pressure part (5) of the insert is separated lengthways from the rear lateral support (7) and is joined to the sole (3) by a connecting web (4) strip which runs over the second head of the metatarsus whilst leaving most of the first, fourth and fifth heads free. The web runs over the second head and part of the third and the front lateral pressure part (5) lies in the big toe area and/or the side of the first head of the metatarsus. The rear lateral pressure part (6) makes contact at the heel bone. The outside lateral part (7) lies in the fatty pad area (8) and the sole part (3) is recessed at the heel bone (10). The leading edge (11) runs near the rear edge (11) of the fourth and fifth metatarsus heads so the sole part leads out medially near the rear edge of the first head of the metatarsus. The corrector assembly fits freely into the shoe as an insert or again presents a fixed part of the shoe.
