Pulse generator for testing electromagnetic compatibility of electronic circuits, components and instruments

The portable pulse generator includes a probe (1) for the preparation of B and/or E fields, within which is an interference pulse generator (2) for producing current or voltage pulses which are transmitted to an induction coil or a pair of plates. A control unit (6) determines the parameters of the pulse and incorporates passive components R,L,C in the generator circuit which are adjustable for frequency, inductance and amplitude and for the release of single pulses. All these are integrated into a compact, ergonomically practical tool which may be of pencil form.
