摘要	Process to find chemicals, esp. polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) in the ground or in liquids, using optical spectroscopy. A complete spectrum is measured, made up of the fluorescence spectrum and further spectral signal components. The fluorescence spectrum is found by correction with the other spectral components. Also claimed is a device to carry out the above process having a radiation source (3) with filter (4) and a detection unit (8), linked to a controller and a computer (10) for measurement registering and calculation.
