<p>The present invention is a guidewire (16) for use in a medical procedure, and for use with the power supply (18) comprising a flexible elongate member (22) having proximal and distal extremities, and having a bore (26) extending from the proximal extremity to the distal extremity. A core wire (28) extends through the bore (26) of the flexible elongate tubular member (22). A coil assembly (61) is mounted on the distal extremity of the flexible elongate member (22) and ends in a rounded tip (48).
