Formwork for casting voids through flat precast concrete units

The formwork (1) consists of a former (2) having an open outstand with a flat contact surface (6) to sit attached magnetically to a steel form plate (7). Magnetic plates (19) are adjustable in vertical position along guide bolts within the former and are moved by a puller (29). Stops (14,28) at either end of the guide bolts limit the possible movement of the magnetic plates within the former. At their lowest, the connecting surfaces (24) on the undersides of the magnetic plate are flush with the contact surface. The lower stop can be removed from its guide bolt.
