A nursing bottle holder (100) adapted to fit across the shoulder (101) of a user including a shoulder strap (102) and a method for positioning a nursing bottle (120) adjacent to the body of a person. A shoulder strap (102) is placed across the chest of a user, and wrapped over one shoulder (101) of the user and secured to the user's torso such that the shoulder strap (102) maintains its position across the user's torso. A nursing bottle (120) is wrapped in the nursing strap (104) by fastening the ends of the nursing bottle strap (104) to one another. The nursing bottle strap (104) is then removably fastened to the shoulder strap (102).
