The positioning aid has a housing (1) with several light sources and a board with openings for the light sources arranged near the rear housing wall away from the object. The front wall has light outlet openings (10). The sizes and distributions of the openings in the board and front wall and the separation of the board from the front wall are selected so that the light from all light sources is visible with equal intensity in the object field in front of the camera in a defined angular region corresp. to the desired position in the object field.
