A pump (100) utilizing a shape memory alloy member (50) which is connected to electric terminals (52) to be contracted by the supply of electric power for lowering a piston (40), the piston (40) mounted to slidably move within a cylinder (28) to thereby introduce a fluid into the cylinder (28) is raised by a biasing force of a bias spring (44) to externally discharge the fluid introduced in the cylinder (28). The pump (100) has a simple structure which is light and easily repaired and maintained.
