The switchboard section (10) has at least one bus bar (12,14) and output (20), at least one switching chamber (22) with a power switch (18) and isolation paths between the bus bars and power switch and between the power switch and the output. A switching vessel (16) filled with insulating gas holds the switching chamber(s) and is connected to the bus bar(s) and output(s) by the connecting lines (24,26,28,30) in contact with the switching chamber(s). The switching chamber(s) is or are movably arranged within the vessel and can be selectively connected to a bus bar and output(s) or brought into an isolated position, in which the required isolating paths are maintained wrt. the conductor ends (32,34,36,38) and/or the switching chamber(s).
