The fastening, esp. for a boot with a rigid or semi-rigid shell, consists of a plate (8) with a series of hook-shaped slots in it, fastened to one side (7) of the boot, and a wire fastening loop (4) and lever (3) on the other side (6). The loop is in one piece with straight transverse ends (9,10), while the lever has two free ends (16,17) which are twisted round one end (10) of the loop and engage with holes in a support (5) to form pivots for the lever, tensioning the loop so that it is held in place. In various of the design the loop can have two free ends to engage with a moulded cover on the lever, and the fastening can be equipped with a screw tensioner. |
