The mounting (1) is made from two parallel, rectangular, tubular frames (2), which can be connected to one another. A sleeve (4) for accommodating the pole of an obstacle or jump, is aligned across the inside of the frame, away from its centre. Both frame tubes may be linked by connectors (3), each of which may have a concave outer surface for accommodating a pole. The mountings may be arranged on top of one another, using X-shaped connecting clips (5). The length, breadth and height of the frame may be of different sizes, in order that the obstacle height may be changed by altering the orientation of the frame.
