Salts of nefazodone having improved dissolution rates

The L-malate, L-tartrate and methane sulfonate salts of nefazodone showed significantly higher intrinsic dissolution in water and THAM buffer compared to other salts of nefazodone. The faster dissolution rates of these salts at higher pH's may suggests better dissolution and absorption in the intestine, and improved bioavailability for oral formulations. <IMAGE>
