PURPOSE: To provide a DC plasma display panel having a high opening ratio, high luminance and high definition. CONSTITUTION: This DC plasma display panel has a front plate 2 and a back plate 1 each provided with a plurality of electrodes and placed opposite and parallel to each other so as to have a plurality of discharge cells as display elements between the plates, and utilizes auxiliary discharge cells 5 provided adjacent the display discharge cells 4 to provide an emissive display. In the DC plasma display panel, some of the display discharge cells 4 are not adjacent the auxiliary discharge cells 5. Therefore, the number of the auxiliary discharge cells 5 can be reduced, and the panel having a high opening ratio, high luminance and high definition can be fabricated. |
