PURPOSE: To provide an ion current control recording head having simple structure and capable of forming an electrostatic latent image on a latent image carrier by a simple control system. CONSTITUTION: This ion current control recording head is constituted of an ion generating means 2 arranged to be opposed to the latent image carrier 1 and uniformly generating ions in a direction orthogonally crossed with a recording direction, a conductive shielding plate 4 having one ion passing hole 3 opened in the unit of one picture element of image information and disposed between the latent image carrier 1 and the ion generating means 2, a driving means driving the shielding plate 4 and setting one ion passing hole 3 at a position opposed to the latent image carrier 1, and a control means 6 impressing voltage between the shielding plate 4 and the latent image carrier 1 in accordance with the image information concerning a picture element 5 opposed to the ion passing hole 3 set at the position. |
