PURPOSE: To enable a continuously variable transmission to secure accurate step-out detection and normal change gear ratio control by means of restoration from a state of being unsynchronized at a time when a change gear ratio control actuator is stepped out of the synchronism due to a shortage of driving force, by installing this change gear ratio control actuator which drives and controls a change gear ratio control valve through a command from the outside. CONSTITUTION: This change gear ratio controller of a continuously variable transmission (a) is provided with a change gear ratio control actuator (f) which drives and controls a change gear ratio control valve C through a command from the outside. In addition, it is also provided with an actuator step-out detecting means (h) detecting that the actuator is stepped out, and an actuator driving speed setting means (i) lowering a driving speed of the change gear ratio control actuator (f) at the time of actuator step-out detection in the case where a driving control command for the change gear ratio control actuator (f) is not one corresponding to the specified position whenever this specified position is detected by a change gear ratio command position detecting means (g). Accordingly, when the actuator (f) is stepped out due to a shortage of driving force, normal change gear ratio control is thus securable by means of accurate step-out detection and restoration from a state of being unsynchronized. |
