PURPOSE: To prevent a missed detection of developer replenishment from occurring in spite of the filled developer by providing the detecting surface of the detecting switch for the developer on a suitable position with respect to the condition of the developer on a developer carrier. CONSTITUTION: When a cover member 107 is opened centering a rotating fulcrum 108, a linking member 150 pressed upward by a tension spring 152 rises, a connection part 153 moves right, and a developer moving member 154 moves to the position of an alternate long and two short dashes line from a continuous line position so as to form a space. The space is filled with the replenishment developer. When the member 107 is closed, the member 154 moves left so as to push the developer in the space toward the detection surface 109. Consequently, display of expressing no developer is never in existence when the developer replenishment is performed. |
