<p>PURPOSE: To enable a user to know the television programs planned to be broadcast with videos. CONSTITUTION: An information reproducing device is built in a television device and the introduction videos of the television programs planned to be broadcast are displayed as moving images from the information of an information recording medium to be read out by this device. The television programs are classified by genres S13 to S17, such as TV motion pictures and dramas and the respective introduction videos are recorded as the moving images for about one to two minutes on the information recording medium. First, a main menu image S2 is displayed when the information recording medium is reproduced. An information menu S5 is displayed when 'others' are assigned. The guide by genres is displayed and the introduction videos of the programs of the desired genres can be assigned and displayed when 'guide by genres' is assigned. Reservation information, such as G codes, are added to such introduction videos. The reservation of picture recording or signal reception is executed by using the reservation information if the reservation is assigned to the introduction videos during the display.</p> |
