<p>PURPOSE: To provide a biodesulfurization system for a geothermal power plant capable of continuously and cost-effectively executing gas desulfurization without selectively using two units of microorganism treating vessels. CONSTITUTION: The steam emitted from a steam turbine 5 is introduced to a condenser 6 and the high-hydrogen sulfide-content non-condensing gas 8 thereof is introduced into the microorganism treating vessel 10, where the gas is oxidized. A medium 12 made acidic in the microorganism treating vessel 10 is introduced to a fungus body separating filter 13. The microorganisms 15 separated by this filter are returned from a line 25 to the microorganism treating vessel 10. The medium and the fungus bodies are supplied from a medium tank 19 and a culture vessel 20 for propagation into the microorganism treating vessel 10, by which the specified quantities of the fungus bodies in the vessel 10 are maintained. The microorganism treating vessel 10 is provided with a back washing line having an alkali injecting line 16. The geothermal water 203 is sent to heat exchangers 22-1, 22-2 in the medium tank 19 and the culture vessel 20 for propagation and is used as a heat source.</p> |
