PURPOSE: To efficiently produce a thermal transfer type material to be recorded which has excellent gradation reproducibility without transfer omission of a high-lighted part and obtains a beautiful recorded image with high density and high image gloss by providing a dye accepting layer having excellent surface smoothness and dyeability of sublimable dye of the surface of the layer. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a thermal transfer type material to be recorded comprises the steps of providing a dye accepting layer 3 containing synthetic resin and fusion preventive agent on a mold release layer of a mold release sheet formed with the layer on a plastic sheet support, integrating this laminate with a base sheet 1 via a thermally adhesive synthetic resin layer 2 by an extrusion sand lamination system, and then removing to release the release sheet, thereby obtaining the material having high smoothness. |
