PURPOSE: To provide a broadcast type optical connection network by which the number of times of alignment of an optical axis can be reduced and a low cost and high reliability can be attained. CONSTITUTION: This network comprises plural processors 1A, 2A and 8A equipped with electric transmitters 1B, 2B and 8B and optical receivers 1C, 2C and 8C, a switch 10 which selects the output of all the processors and that of an arbitrary processor connected with an electric wire 9, a light transmitter 11 which converts the output signal of the switch 10 to an optical signal 12, and a hologram 13 which distributes the optical signal to all the processors. In this way, only one optical transmitter is required, and the number of optical axes to be aligned can be reduced, and also, the cost relating to electric to optic conversion can be reduced. |
