<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to directly design a menu bar, pull-down menu, and cascade menu by operating a screen by using a graphic user interface using window displays. SOLUTION: A user selects a menu bar object from a tool box window 46 on a display screen and drugs and drops the object onto an application window 47. Consequently, a blank menu bar 52 is formed below a title bar 54. When the menu bar 52 is selected, a text cursor 55 is displayed at a default specifying initial position. When a first menu bar item 62 is defined, the cursor 55 is moved to the position of the next menu item and the next menu bar item 63 is defined, and then, a pull-down menu 62 is displayed. When the defined pull-down menu item is selected, a cascade menu 64 is displayed.</p> |
