PURPOSE: To provide a reproducing device capable of improving an S/N. CONSTITUTION: A read means 1 reads the data with address information consisting of a track address showing a track number recorded on a tape-like recording medium 10 and a block address showing a recording position in the track by a reproducing head arranged on a rotary drum. An information gain means 2 gains the address information of the data read in one revolution of the rotary drum by the read means 1 by a clock synchronizing with one revolution of the rotary drum. A storage means 3 stores the data read by the read means 1 based on the address information gained by the information gain means 2. A control means 5 performs read-out control of the data stored in the storage means 3 and write control of the data in the storage means 3 by controlling the running speed of the recording medium 10 according to the address information of the block address of the specified position of the address information gained by the information gain means 2.
