<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a black-based recording liquid excellent in print depth, and light and water resistances, and good in preservability, thus useful for ink jet recording, writing utensils, etc., containing an aqueous medium and a specific coloring matter. CONSTITUTION: This recording liquid contains (A) an aqueous medium and (B) a coloring matter with its free acid form expressed by the formula A is a (substituted) phenyl or (substituted) naphthyl; B is a [sulfo-, carboxyl-, (substituted) 1-9C alkyl, etc.,-substituted] phenylene, etc.; R1 to R3 are each H, a 1-18C alkyl, etc., at least one of them being carboxyl-substituted group(s)} [e.g. 6-( 2-[3-acetylamino-6-ethoxy-4-(2,5-dicarboxyphenylazo)]phenylazo-3-sulfo-1- hydroxy}naphthalen-7-yl)amio-2-(3-carboxyanilino)-4-hydroxy-1,3,5-tria zine]. It is referable that this recording liquid comprise 45-95wt.% of water, 10-50wt.% of a water-soluble organic solvent and 0.5-5wt.% of the component B.</p> |
