PURPOSE: To save a battery and to reduce the connection time by allowing a slave set to transit automatically to an inter-slave set direct speech mode from a standby state through a control radio channel and eliminating the need for scanning by a carrier for the inter-slave set direct speech. CONSTITUTION: The system is provided with a master set Z connecting fixedly to a wired telephone line and plural slave sets such as A, B, C connecting to the master set Z through a radio channel. The master set A uses a control channel to designate plural speech channels to form two-way radio channels among the slave sets A, B, C. When no communication is made between the master set Z and the slave sets A, B, C, they are connected by a control channel and when they are making communication, any of the speech channels is selected. Thus, without the standby reception through both of the control channel and the radio channel for inter-slave set direct communication for the master set Z by the slave sets A, B, C, the inter-slave set direct mode is transited automatically from the standby state through four control radio channels. |
