PURPOSE: To prevent rainbow-like interference fringes, to reduce a size and number of parts and to equivalently improve the accuracy of production. CONSTITUTION: An optical low-pass filter 10 of a liquid crystal display device provided with the optical low-pass filter 10 on a display surface is fixed via an adhesive layer 11 having the refractive index different from the refractive index the optical low-pass filter 10 to a liquid crystal panel 20 or polarizing plate 24 in the state of directing the surface having the optical function of the optical low-pass filter 10 toward the liquid crystal panel 20 or the polarizing plate 24. The optical low-pass filter is integrally formed on the phase different plate of the liquid crystal display device having the phase difference plate.
