PURPOSE: To obtain a radiation-curable water-based resin being excellent in rapid curability and odorlessness, suffering less from e.g. a change in the particle shape due to dispersion of production conditions as compared with the conventional one and having a good balance among properties including solvent, water, acid, and alkali resistances, flexibility of film, film strengths, etc. CONSTITUTION: This resin is the one which contains emulsion polymer particles which are obtained by an emulsion polymerization process and in each of which at least one comonomer component of the emulsion copolymer is m- isopropenyl-α,α-dimethylbenzyl isocyanate and in which the isocyanate group of the compound is reacted with an active hydrogen group of a monomer or oligomer having at least one acryloyl group or methacryloyl group and at least one active hydrogen group.
