PURPOSE: To obtain the image forming device and method capable of suppressing the occurrence of image quality deterioration to the utmost by effectively utilizing image data in the multilevel image forming by the PWM system. CONSTITUTION: A phase detector 109 detects a phase of a triangular wave generated by frequency-dividing a clock signal at a frequency divider 110 and the result is outputted to an LUT 108. Furthermore, image data are given to the LUT 108, in which the image data are corrected to warrant a PWM output duty based on a signal from the phase detector 109 and the corrected data are outputted to a PWM section 8. |
