PURPOSE: To obtain the practical stereoscopic still image pickup system with simple configuration by recording still image pair signals obtained from an object as a still image while image pickup sequence information of two image signals is managed in a restoration enable way. CONSTITUTION: An incident light from an image pickup lens 10 is stopped and emitted to an imager, processed in terms of a signal by an image pickup section 13 and fed to a recording section 14. When an image signal is recorded, in order to command which of signals outputted sequentially timewise is to be recorded, a system controller 20 gives a command signal to the recording section 14. After a field signal is stored in a frame buffer, an odd numbered and an even numbered field signals are synthesized and recorded on a memory card 16 as one frame via a card I/F 15. Odd numbered image information is received in a frame buffer in a prescribed timing in two field signals, then even numbered image information is received in the buffer after the lapse of a prescribed time, then one frame image is formed from two field signals with a different time interval. |
