<p>PURPOSE: To improve wiping at the time of hanging, and also to reduce the extension in the hanging allowance by performing an auxiliary sewing at the toe part of an instep cover. CONSTITUTION: Cotton cloth being used in a front cloth is used for the material of an instep cover 1, and the cloth in which nylon tricot has been stuck on urethane foam is used for a rear cloth. The front cloth and the rear cloth are stuck by welding, and are cut into the respective parts of the shapes of the instep cover 1, and a front core 8 is stuck on a cut front instep 7 and also a heel reinforcement is sewn on the waist. After these front instep 7 and the waist have been sewn, to prevent the turn-up of urethane foam, the entire circumference of the front instep is sewn at a sewing allowance of 2mm. Then, an elliptical or semicircular auxiliary sewing 5 is performed by using a vinylon thread in the extend of 30 to 40mm right and left from the hanging allowance 4 making a center of a foremost center 3 of a toe part 2. The hanging is completed by fitting the instep cover 1 on a last 9, and by squeezing it while pressedly bringing the hanging allowance of the instep cover 1 into contact with the last by means of a bed laster.</p> |
