PURPOSE: To prevent the operation of a parking brake when the shift position of an operation lever is not in the parking range, in an automatic gear change device to allow to select the shift operation and the parking brake operation by a single operation lever. CONSTITUTION: When an operation lever 3 is rotated to the front side and the rear side guided by a guide 10a for shift, an automatic transmission is shifted to the ranges by a shift bracket 20, and on the other hand, when it is rotated to the front side and the rear side after converting the operation lever 3 to a guide 10b for braking through a parking range P, a parking brake is turned ON and OFF by the brake bracket 21. When the operation lever 3 is being guided by a guide 10a for shift, the the brake bracket 21 is maintained at OFF, and when it is being guided by a guide 10c for brake, the shift bracket 20 is maintained at the parking range P. |
