PURPOSE: To prepare a polypropylene sheet having a flammability rating of V-0 in the UL 94 Standards and subjected to, e.g. punching and bending for use as an insulating sheet in electrical equipment, etc. CONSTITUTION: This sheet consists of 100 pts.wt. polypropylene homopolymer having a melt flow rate, determined by the Flow Test of Thermoplastic prescribed by JIS K 7210, of 0.3-9g/10min and flame retardants comprising 5-20 pts.wt. brominated flame retardant and 2-10 pts.wt. diantimony trioxide and has a thickness of 0.1-3.0mm, wherein the brominated flame retardant is bis(3,5- dibromo-4,4-dibromopropyloxyphenyl)sulfone of the formula. |
