Molded plastic plates (50, 50a, 50b) having a rolled edge rim (56, 56a, 56b) and a method of rolling the edges (60) of the molded plastic plates (50, 50a, 50b). The plastic plates (50, 50a, 50b) are pre-molded with lugs (58) that project outwardly from the sides (54) of the plates (50, 50a, 50b). The lugs (58) of one plate (50, 50a, 50b) contact the rim (56) of the next successive plate (50, 50a, 50b) in a stack of plates (50, 50a, 50b) to create a gap (68) between the plates (50, 50a, 50b) stacked one on top of another. The gap (68) allows each individual plate (50, 50a, 50b) to be picked up by the threads on a plurality of threaded rollers which press on the rim (56) of the plate (50, 50a, 50b) to form the rolled edge (60). |
