The present invention is a venting cap (1) with a hole (4) and a semi permeable membrane (7). The membrane is fitted in a housing (6) of particular dimensions which in turn is fitted in a protrusion (5) corresponding to the hole in the cap. The present invention further encompasses a process for the manufacture of the cap.
