PURPOSE: To provide an explosion-proof sealed battery with no separation or cracks in a welded part of a lead fixing member to an explosion-proof valve, high sealing capability, and capable of preventing ignition or explosion of the battery even in overcharge or short circuit. CONSTITUTION: In an explosion-proof sealed battery in which an explosion-proof valve 3 which deforms in the inner pressure direction according to increase in internal pressure is welded to a lead fixing member 1, and a lead 8 is welded to the lead fixing member 1, at least one projection 1c having a tip toward a power generating element is formed on the same circumferential circle in an outer circumferential part of a thin part 1a formed in the lead fixing member 1, and the lead 8 is welded to the projection 1c. Power and pressing force in welding of the lead fixing member 1 and the lead 8 are reduced, and separation of the welded part 5 of the lead fixing member 1 to the explosion-proof 3 or generation of cracks in the welded part 5 in welding of the lead fixing member 1 and the lead 8 are prevented. |
