PURPOSE: To produce a (t-alkyl)alkyldialkoxysilane compound in high safety and efficiency without using a lithium reagent. CONSTITUTION: This (t-alkyl)alkyldialkoxysilane compound of the formula R<2> R<3> Si(OR<1> )2 is produced by reacting a hydrogen trialkoxysilane of the formula HSi(OR<1> )3 with a tertiary Grignard reagent of the formula R<2> MgX<1> and a Grignard reagent of the formula R<3> MgX<2> and reacting the resultant silane compound of the formula R<2> R<3> SiH(OR<1> ) with an alcohol of the formula R<1> OH in the presence of a catalyst. In these formulas, R<1> is methyl or ethyl, R<2> is a 4-10C t-alkyl, R<3> is a 3-10C primary or secondary alkyl and X<1> and X<2> are same or different halogen atoms. |
