Carrier for front baskets on bicycles

The carrier is fixed to the steering column of a bicycle, and to the joining point of its front wheel forks. It has bars which reach forwards from the fixing points, to the rear of a load-carrying basket. The basket is attached to the bars at two or more levels, and any forwards motion is restrained from above. The upper and lower bars have sufficient cross-sectional area, and a clamp (4) on the steering column grips with sufficient force, that a fully-laden basket can be supported. The carrier can have additional bars (3a,b), which extend forwards and downwards from the upper fixing point in order to form a triangle with the other bars.
