The appts. has an arch-shaped locking clamp (3.1, 3.2, 3.3) with elastic locking fingers. The latter can be connected to a lamp part. The fingers (3.1, 3.2) have hook-shaped projections which engage with counter locking surfaces (2.1, 2.2) on the lamp socket (2). The clamp is part of an inner part (3) which is insertable in a sleeve (1.1) of the lamp (1) which receives the electric wires. The inner part (3) is inserted in the sleeve (1.1) such that the middle axis of the socket and the locking fingers (3.1, 3.2) lie in the plane of the construction. The inner part (3) is preferably formed in one piece and includes a tension relieving part (3.4) and a phase-splitter (3.5). A funnel shaped cover part (1.2) may be formed integrally with the sleeve (1.1).
