A method for depositing at least one kind of coating on a support surface consisting of localised depressions, the support being particularly a flat seal and more particularly a cylinder head gasket including an optionally multilayer core and fluid-tight and/or stress-absorbing portions. According to the method, the support to be partially coated is prepared and positioned, at least one groove in at least one base is filled with the coating compound to be deposited in liquid form, the groove being machined according to the shape of the depression to be achieved, and the compound contained in the groove in the base is transferred by means of an elastomeric pad from said base to predetermined portions of the support that correspond to the depressions to be formed. |
