<p>A controlled release container comprises: an outer shell, at least a portion of which comprises a biodegradable polymeric material having a predetermined rate of degradation; and a core enclosed by the outer shell, the core comprising at least one bioactive molecule as an active ingredient optionally admixed with one or more pharmaceutically or veterinarily acceptable carriers and/or excipients; wherein the portion of said outer shell preferably is non-porous, and provides a predetermined delay in the time period of release of the active ingredient.</p> |
