The invention pertains to a device for winding up and/or longitudinally cutting a moving paper web, with the following features: it is equipped with at least one carrier roll (3.1); the paper web is wound around the carrier roll (3.1) or one of the carrier rolls (3.1, 3.2) over part of its circumference. The invention is characterized by the following features: the wound carrier roll (3.2) is associated with a glazing cylinder (3.4).
