Rotary pump with electric drive e.g. for use in heating and sanitation equipment engineering

The pump has a centrally mounted, pref. cylindrical rotor which forms a structural unit contg. the pump wheel and the rotor of an electric motor and which contains internal channels leading radially from a central bearing bore to opposite sides. The rotor also carries peripheral magnetic field generating elements, pref. permanent magnetic poles. The rotor has central inlet openings on both sides, from each of which a separate channel leads radially to the opposite side. It is made of two symmetrical half cylinders in which the channels are formed by grooves.
