Ball joint for mounting car gear change lever

The gear change lever (1) has on one side an outer spherical face (2). The lever has a ball pan (4) on its other side, centrally to the outer spherical face. The spherical face abuts a ball pan (7) of a joint housing (6). A ball (10) is secured on the housing diametrically opposite to the housing ball pan. The ball engages the ball pan on the gear change lever and is displaceable in the direction towards both ball pans (4,7). Pref. the ball is located at the end of an adjusting screw (9), extending through a wall of the joint housing and rotatable by a tool from the housing outside.
