<p>A slab feed yard disposed between a continuous casting machine and a hot rolling step to reliably feed the physical flows of slabs via a plurality of routes to the hot rolling step in accordance with the sequence of rolling commands. A slab transfer table having a linear shape is disposed in such a manner as to extend from the continuous casting machine to the hot rolling mill, and a plurality of slab stock yards which are so juxtaposed as to transversely cross the slab transfer table and transfer means capable of transferring both hot and cold slabs between the slab transfer table and the slab stock yard are disposed between the continuous casting machine and a heating furnace charging table disposed upstream the hot rolling mill.</p> |
