Herbicidal agent based on the N-(4-fluorphenyl)-N-isopropyl-chloroacetamide and process for its preparation

摘要

Herbicidal agent comprises N-(4-fluorophenyl)-N-isopropyl-chloroacetamide of formula (I). Also claimed is the prodn. of (I) by reacting N-isopropyl-4-fluoroaniline of formula (II) with chloroacetyl chloride of formula (III) in about equimolar amts. in an inert diluent without the addn of an acid acceptor at 20-150 degrees C.
