<p>Lock cylinder (1) for a motor vehicle door lock has a cover plate (2) which contains the key channel orifice (5), which can be sealed from inside the lock cylinder by a cover plate (7), with an elastic seal (13), of rubber or polyurethane, fastened around its edge, bearing on a sealing lip (14) on the inside of the external cover plate, when a key (3) is inserted into the cylinder, the front face (17) of the key shank contacts the front face (16) of the cover plate (7) and presses this against spring pressure (10) into the interior (6) of the cylinder, so that the plate pivots about an axis (8) in the direction of the side wall (9).</p> |
