<p>The invention relates to a method for processing contaminated fluids, usually water, containing organic and inorganic substances, in particular slurry (liquid manure). The operation of the automated slurry processor is based on the combined use of the purification techniques "microfiltration of fluids" and "thermal treatment of fluids". The automatic slurry processor is based on a combination of these techniques. The use of microfiltration allows all suspended particles to be removed from the slurry to be treated. The microfiltration process used is a cross- flow process provided with ceramic filtration tubes. The increase in slurry temperature which occurs in this cross- flow process, as a result of pumping energy being converted into heat, can be utilized to make the vacuum process feasible. Linking the processes to one another, in accordance with the schematic diagrams in the patent, yields a method which is characterized by high separation efficiency in conjunction with a low energy demand.</p> |
