Switching device

The switching device includes a pendular screen (1) which oscillates between two extreme positions (A,B) by electrostatic actuation by respective electrodes (4,5) connected to a control circuit (8) and an excitation circuit (9). The screen is supported elastically by e.g. a flexible shaft (2) so that the force restoring it to the central position (0) exceeds the electrostatic attraction in the opposite direction. An aperture (6) is covered by the screen in one extreme position (B) between excitation electrodes (7.1,7.2). The switching time is determined by the given frequency of the pendular element and not by the strength of the electrostatic force.
