<p>An end support, particularly suitable for selective coupling to an end tang (C) of a roll supporting shaft (A), which includes a stationary sleeve (2) that can be anchored to a supporting frame; a shaft (3) that is rotatably accommodated in the sleeve (2) with a protruding end (4) in which an open seat (5) is formed and is provided with a bottom portion (7) for the snug-fit accommodation of the tang (C) and preferably with a V-shaped transverse cross-section; a preferably axially displaceable retention means (9,11) to selectively lock the seat (5), e.g. by tangiential pin (15), and thereby prevent the accidental radial escape of the tang (C). The open seat (5) has a peripheral portion (8) that is connected to the bottom portion (7) with side walls (8',8'') that are flared slightly outward for the quick insertion and automatic centering of the tang (C). The support (1) is reversible and can be equally connected to either of the end tangs (C) of a roll supporting shaft (A). <IMAGE></p> |
