U-Shaped padlock comprising: a U-shaped closure member with lock holes each with a round hole section and a tubular section which is in communication with the round section; a lock body; a lock core which is present in the lock body and is composed of a lock head, a stop plate formed with a closure hole, a coiled spring and a lock-core lever of elliptical cross section; a front protective sleeve with a coiled spring support on one side; a rear protective sleeve; and two lifting blocks which are respectively arranged beneath the front and rear protective sleeves, the pivoted position of the lock-core lever and the inserted position of the U-shaped closure member being actuated by the lock core and lifting blocks which interact with one another, close the lock-core lever and guide it in such a way that the U-shaped closure member can be pressed directly into the lock core in order to automatically and easily achieve the closing and opening effect. <IMAGE>
