The decorative element is in the form of a decorative band. It decorates the front parts of pieces of furniture such as doors, visible fronts of beds and drawers, etc. The elements are also used as edge lattices. The decorative lattices consists of at least two pieces of veneer stuck together having their wood fibres running parallelly. The veneers can be of the same colour or of different colours, or the gluing layers between them can be coloured. The profiling of the lattices depends on the desired decorative effect and is made by means of a cutting tool, the rotary axis of which can be either parallel or perpendicular to the veneer layers./!
